Having a safety committee is an excellent way to communicate with your employees. Whether you meet once a week or once a month, it is important to sit down with your committee and discuss the effectiveness of your safety programs.

This committee opens a pathway for your team to build a strong foundation of communication for all levels of your organization. And not just the supervisors or people in charge! You can have volunteers, but you can also select people to be a part of the committee if no one shows up. We suggest choosing the 'troublemakers' or the frequent flyers so they can learn why the safety programs exist and why they are important.
